Cleaning:

  • Before cleaning after construction and periodic deep cleaning, the acid resistance of the floor must be checked
  • Use Tile and sanitary cleaner HMK R159 and for limescale: HMK R158 Bathroom and shower cabin cleaner.
  • Dilute the cleaner and apply it to the floor. Let the cleaner work for about 10 minutes. Loosen the dirt with a scrubber and absorb the dirty water with a mop. Always rinse with clean water.
  • Avoid contact with products such as cleaning vinegar, sanitary cleaner, wine, lemon juice, etc. (pH value lower than 3), these are acidic and can lighten or damage some floors.

Maintenance:

  • For regular maintenance use HMK P315 Porcelaton maintenance cleaner. Add water to the product and wet mop the floor. Wipe the floor with damp moisture and let the floor dry for about 15 minutes.
  • For periodic soil cleaning, use HMK R157 Intensive Tile Cleaner if necessary and scrub lightly with a brush.

Cleaning

  • Use Tile and Sanitary Cleaner HMK R159.
  • Dilute the cleaner and apply it to the floor. Let the cleaner work for about 10 minutes. Loosen the dirt with a scrubber and absorb the dirty water with a mop. Always rinse with clean water.
  • For highly absorbent substrates, first wet the surface with clear water.

Protection:

  • For floors without color deepening use HMK S232 Stain Stop - without solvents.
  • For floors with low color depth, use HMK S234 Stain Stop - Top Effect.
  • Apply the product (crosswise) evenly. Wipe off the excess material and rub with a cloth. Let the floor dry for about 24 hours.

Maintenance:

  • For daily cleaning use HMK P324 Edelsoap floor soap.
  • Add warm water to the product and wet mop the floor. Wipe damp and let the floor dry for about 15 minutes.
  • After five treatments with HMK P324, treat the floor with HMK P326 Cotto maintenance milk.

1. Before any protective treatment is carried out, the surface to be treated must be clean, dry, free of stains and absorbent. We recommend that you carry out an extensive and thorough cleaning beforehand, followed by a drying time of approximately 24 hours.

2. The ideal processing temperature of the surface to be treated with a cleaning or protective treatment is between +12°C and +25°C.

3. When cleaning with acid-containing cleaning agents, the surface must first be wetted. It is essential that the cleaned surface is first neutralized with HMK® R155 soil cleaner - acid-free and then thoroughly rinsed with water.

4. Always make a small test area to determine the suitability, consumption, color and effect of the product. A sample, a leftover tile from the floor or an inconspicuous place on the surface in question is suitable for this.

5. It is better to hire a professional than to do it wrong yourself. Read the label carefully and follow the
instructions for use.

6. When soaking polished or slightly absorbent substrates with HMK® S232, HMK® S233, HMK® S234, HMK® S242, HMK® S243, S244 and HMK® S246, excess material must be completely wiped off immediately with a cloth before drying. removed (see label).

7. When treating floors with impregnating agents such as e.g. HMK® S232, HMK® S233, HMK® S234, HMK® S235, HMK® S237, HMK® S239, HMK® S242, HMK® S243, HMK® S244, HMK® S246 and HMK® S748 a completely dry substrate is required (max. 2-4% residual moisture). The underfloor heating, if any, must be switched off and the floor must be natural cold.

8. The products HMK® R187, HMK® S232, HMK® S240, HMK® S245, HMK® P301, HMK® P303, HMK® P305, HMK® P319, HMK® P321, HMK® P323, HMK® P326, HMK® Z702, HMK® P703, HMK® P709, HMK® S747 and HMK® S749 are frost sensitive and must not be stored at temperatures below 0°C.

9. HMK® S235, HMK® S237, HMK® S239 are not suitable for flagstones such as cotto, terracotta, clay or ceramic tiles.

10. When we talk about "dry" (max. 2-4% residual moisture), this also applies to the underlying building layer (concrete, mortar bed or screed). For this, a waiting time of 2-4 weeks when laying in a thin / medium bed and 4-6 weeks in a thick bed is generally recommended, a deviation is possible depending on the weather and the object. The floor must be protected from rain.
