furniture
Below you will find information about cleaning different types of furniture.
plastic surfaces
Plastic surfaces can be easily cleaned with regular cleaning agents. If you use lukewarm water with a dash of methylated spirits, this is easiest. However, only use clean, dirt and grease-free cleaning cloths. Never use strong chemicals, such as abrasive polishes or solvents. Abrasives, steel wool, pan cleaners and sanding cloths made of microfibre also damage the surface so much that it is no longer possible to remove the damage.
high-gloss lacquer fronts
High-gloss lacquered fronts are very easy to clean, because the surface is completely closed. Dirt can therefore be easily and thoroughly removed without much work and without the use of chemicals. Make sure that the polishes are completely clean. Any dirt, such as grains of sand or dust, can cause scratches in the front. The manufacturer cannot guarantee these signs of use. Stains must not dry out. Stains, as well as paint splashes and grease deposits can be removed with a warm and thin solution of green soap.
wooden fronts
Wood is a natural product . Grains and color make every kitchen something special. Deviations in structure and/or colour, for example due to different light and sun effects, are characteristic of the natural product and are therefore no reason for complaint.
The surfaces of real wooden fronts have been treated several times with high-quality lacquer. To clean these, it is sufficient to wipe the doors in the direction of the grain with a slightly wet cloth. In this way the dirt is wiped out of the pores and grains of the wood. Grease splashes or dirt must not dry on the wood and must be removed immediately. In stubborn situations, for example to remove grease residues, etc., methylated spirits or benzene diluted with water are suitable. Only use mild, water-soluble household cleaners that expressly state in the product description that they are suitable for kitchen furniture.
matt gloss lacquer fronts
Matt gloss lacquer fronts are provided with a high-quality polyurethane lacquer that is easy to maintain. For regular maintenance, we recommend a mild detergent dissolved in warm water.
The following applies to all paint parts:
Immediately after cleaning, dry the fronts with a dry, lint-free soft cloth. Do not press when rubbing the fronts. Hard or dirty cloths and abrasive cleaning agents can cause permanent scratches.
