countertop
First of all, we would like to point out that irreparable damage can occur relatively easily when one stands or sits on the countertop. But dropping heavy objects can also lead to dents and cracks. Never place hot pans directly on the top, but always use coasters. Cleaning and removing stains on the worktop works best if you observe the advice that we will discuss further on this page per product group. For specific questions regarding maintenance, we refer to the maintenance pages of the manufacturers that we have included in our range.
granite
- Granite is a hard and open material. Characteristic for granite are the natural cracks and pits.
- Granite countertops are impregnated after manufacture. As a result, the surface is reasonably protected against the absorption of aggressive substances. However, keep in mind that granite countertops are sensitive to acids, including the fruit acids found in various foods such as soft drinks, vinegar and citrus fruits. Contact with the worktop can cause a chemical reaction that can cause dull suits.
- For regular maintenance, you can wipe the blade with a clean, damp cloth. Never use an abrasive cleaner as this will damage the blade and cause dull spots. Lime stains are best removed with cleaning vinegar.
- Be careful with hot objects, such as pans. Never place the object directly on the blade. Sudden and rapid changes in temperature can cause damage. Therefore, never place hot pans directly on the worktop, always use a trivet.
- For specific maintenance, see the maintenance tips supplied by the supplier.
